Sodbury Town Council have revealed that they are planning to introduce a new award which will run annually in the area.
The plan to start the Annual Mayor’s Award Scheme was approved by the council in a meeting on Tuesday, November 13, explaining that the award will be given out each year at the Parish Meeting.
In a statement the council said: “The Town Council appreciates that there is a lot of community work carried out in the area and wants to reward people/organisations for their contribution towards making Sodbury such a pleasurable place to live and visit.”
To make a nomination for the award, visit the Sodbury Town Council website to get an application form. The deadline for nominees are February 28, with the winner announced on April 2.
