Cirencester Primary School have won their annual six-a-side football competition.

18 teams entered the tournament, including two Cirencester teams as the hosts came out on top.

The competition, organised by Cirencester teacher Andy Archer, was held on Thursday, November 15 in what was a surprisingly mild afternoon at Cirencester Primary School.

Cirencester overcame Ashton Keynes in the final with a narrow 1-0 victory to claim the trophy.

The Cirencester team included Sam King (captain), Ellis Rowles, Lewis Long, Luke Baker, Finley Greaves, Louie Holloway and Jack Evans.

Ashton Keynes, Chesterton and Avening Schools performed well as they reached the final play off stage of the tournament.

Teachers were impressed with the high standard of footballing skills displayed and how the players conducted themselves throughout the afternoon.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took park and was a success.

A lot of hard work came from Helen Pauling and her team of students from Kingshill who helped referee, score and line mark during the tournament.
