A new computer shop is hoping to fill a gap in Thornbury’s High Street.
The Computer Store in St. Mary’s Street opened on Saturday.
Owner Dave Lewis believes he can beat the price of any computer sold elsewhere.
As well as selling computers, repairs and installations will also be made.
Dave, who also runs Bristol company DLIT Solutions, believes the town is ‘crying out for something like this’.
Asked his motivation for opening the store, Thornbury resident Dave joked: “I was fed up of friends asking me to repair their computer for nothing.
“It’s something I have been thinking of for a long time.
“We will only be in business if people use us” he added.
Dave wants to use the upstairs of the shop as a training room to help people who are less confident using computers.
He is currently looking for someone to run classes there.
The store will be open Tuesday to Friday 10am - 6pm and on Saturdays from 9am - 5pm.
