YOUNG photographers have taken a stunning new collection of photographs which are now on display at Cam and Dursley train station.

It is hoped the images will make the station more interesting, welcoming and informative for commuters and visitors.

Cam and Dursley Transportation Group (CDTG) came up with the idea and approached Rednock School to ask if students would be willing to take photographs of the area.

Nine scenic views were selected from the pupil's contributions and last Friday these were put on display along the station platforms.

Wendy Thomas of CDTG said: "This was a true community effort, not only with the students’ participation, but with financial support via small grants from Cam Parish Council and Dursley Town Council.

"Rail station operator GWR arranged for the photographs to be enlarged and printed, installed the poster cases and provided rail vouchers to the students whose photographs were selected."
