Rhyl RNLI volunteers use the Cob and Pen public house in Rhyl as a social venue after exercises.
During one of these visits, the landlords Noel and Amanda Clements asked Martin Jones, Rhyl lifeboat Coxswain, whether the station needed any practical equipment for the station.
The kitchen at the station was installed when the station was built in 2000, and was showing signs of wear and tear, and was desperately in need of an upgrade.
This was discussed with Noel and Amanda; and the pub's regulars agreed the pub would contribute to the upgrade, by providing additional cooking facilities.
The kitchen was upgraded by RNLI contractors Pen-Y-Bryn joinery and Gilkes construction. They also helped with the upgrade of the floor of the crew room and kitchen.
Mr Jones said: "The crew are extremely grateful to the Cob and Pen for providing these additional facilities.The regulars of the pub have long been supporters of the RNLI, which, as a charity, relies on voluntary contributions."
