Drivers on the roads around Cirencester faced unusual delays this morning, which brought a smile to many commuters faces.

Team Rickshaw, a team of fundraisers, including The One Show’s Matt Baker and Alex Jones, are undertaking a mammoth 423-mile Rickshaw Challenge from Calais to Salford, and popped into Cirencester for a breather en route.

Ahead of the challenge, Matt Baker said: “This is the eighth year that we’ll be heading out on the roads and I can’t wait to get back in the saddle.”

This year, the rickshaw has been built by a team of engineers at the McLaren Technology Centre.

The design of the new McLaren Rickshaw means that it is more accessible than the last, but still a challenge for those riding it.

Make sure that you catch their journey through Gloucestershire on tonight's The One Show and see if you spot anyone you know!
