A POPULAR restaurant received a Community Award from the Cirencester Inner Wheel Club for the part it has played in raising over £2,000 for charity.
The Club presented The Rajdoot Indian restaurant in Castle Street with the award as a thankyou for helping with the club's charity evenings.
For many years, the restaurant has hosted the charity evenings providing a three course meal at a nominal charge and then donating to the club’s international charities.
The evenings have raised more than £2,000 over the last 10 years.
President Judy Lloyd and secretary Liz Tovey presented two members of staff with the award for their generosity and continued support for Inner Wheel.
Judy said: "It is great that businesses in the town get involved with local clubs to help raise money for charities.
"The Rajdoot have been hosting these charity evenings for about 10 years and every time donate about £250."
Over 50 Inner Wheel ladies, Rotarians and friends enjoy the evening each year.
