A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a crash on the A419 earlier this week has been named.
Stephen Speakman, aged 55, of North Swindon died in the crash on Monday, November 5.
It happened around 6.10pm on the A419 northbound, just north of the A361 junction near Swindon.
His Yamaha motorcycle collided with a Kia Sorento travelling in the same direction.
The driver of the Kia is not believed to have been injured.
While collision investigators attended the scene to conduct a full investigation, the road was closed until 10.30pm.
A Wiltshire police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts remain with Stephen's family at this difficult time.
"They are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer."
