A NEW councillor has joined Tetbury Town Council.
Simon Mitchell was co-opted to the council at a town council meeting on Monday, October 22.
He runs three businesses in the town, Merlin Industries, Commercial Electrical Contractors and The Tetbury Soft Water Company.
Simon lives in Tetbury and plays an active part in the community.
In his application, Simon said: "I would like to use my skills within the council to help businesses in the town, encourage entrepreneurs to chose Tetbury as the place to start their businesses and to help maintain and improve the facilities we have in the town for younger generations to enjoy."
Tetbury Mayor Sandra Ball said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon onto the Town Council.
"Simon brings a lot of unique knowledge which we feel sure will prove very helpful.”
