BURGLARS smashed a patio door in a failed break-in at a house in Upper Rissington.
The attempted burglary took place this morning (Wednesday, October 31), at about 2.45 am, at a property in Sparrows Way in the village.
Entering the rear garden via an unlocked side gate, the burglars attempted to break in via a double glazed patio door.
By doing so they broke the glass and alerted the occupant of the property.
The offenders fled the scene in what was described to police as a white or cream coloured VW Golf.
If you have any information, call police on 101 and quote incident number 25 of October 31.
