STAFF from a Cirencester opticians completed a skydive for a blind charity.

Store manager Paul Dundas was joined by optical assistant Katherine Middleditch from Specsavers Cirencester for the 10,000 feet skydive.

Originally the skydive was due to take place during National Eye Health Week in September, but strong winds produced by Storm Ali postponed the event.

But two weeks later, the skydive went ahead in Swindon on Sunday October 7.

“Wow, What an incredible experience,” said Paul.

“The views when parachuting back to the ground were phenomenal.

“We felt even more nervous when we found out it was postponed due to Storm Ali, although proud to say it didn’t deter us from our mission.”

The pair have so far raised £1,000 for the Royal National Institute of Blind People, a charity that supports people with sight loss and help enable them to face the future with confidence.
