A NEW bench has been installed in Baunton in memory of a former Cirencester Town mayor.
On Thursday, October 11, at St Mary Magdalene Church in Baunton, a dedication service took place for a bench in memory of the late Joseph Watson.
The bench was a joint gift from the Gloucestershire Division of the Royal Forestry Society and the Cotswold Tree Warden Group.
Reverend David Minns held the service, attended by members of Joe's family and the groups who gifted the bench.
Joe is known for his public service in the community, culminating in his period of office as Cirencester Town mayor.
He was a past chairman of the Royal Forestry Society and a supported of the Cotswold Tree Warden Group
The bench is located in the churchyard of St Mary Magdalene, Baunton.
