ALL THINGS autumn will be celebrated in Cirencester this weekend, Saturday, October 20 and 21.

The Autumn Festival will take place in the town's Market Place, and is organised by Zoom Events, who were behind a world village market in Cirencester in the spring.

Dozens of stalls will be showcasing homemade, artisan groceries, handmade crafts and street foods from around the world.

The event will feature a live music stage, craft beer and cider bar, children’s entertainment plus a seating area allowing visitors to relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Organisers are hoping that the event will increase footfall into the town centre and pull in visitors from throughout the area, providing a welcome boost to the local community.

Paul Kennedy, director of Zoom Events, said: "Cirencester is a beautiful historic market town and will provide the perfect setting for people to enjoy our Autumn Festival.

"Following our World Village Market in the spring, we cannot wait to be back for a second time."

Visitors to the festival can expect to enjoy ready to eat foods including pork or chicken souvlaki, sweet and savoury crepes, German sausages and burgers with homemade toppings.

Doughnuts, luxury handmade cakes, olives, nuts, Turkish delight, award winning British waxed cheese truckles and a range of continental fine foods will all be among the groceries available to take away and savour at home.

Those looking for early Christmas gift ideas or clothing and home decor will be able to browse a huge range of arts, crafts, clothing and accessories including Indian rugs, Italian clothing, handmade candles, cushions, clocks, doorstops, tweed neckwarmers, dog jackets and handmade jewellery.

Cirencester Autumn Festival is free to enter and will be open on Saturday, October 20 from 9am to 7pm and Sunday, October 21 from 10am to 5pm.
