A CIRENCESTER restaurant has retained its place in this year's Michelin Guide for the fourth year in a row.

Made By Bob, based in the Corn Hall Arcade in the town, is a recipient of a Bib Gourmand following the announcement of this year’s Michelin Stars.

The Bib Gourmand, which has been part of the Michelin guide since 1955, is awarded to restaurants who offer 'simple yet skilful cooking and great prices.'

Made By Bob is one of the few recognised in this region, a fact that baffles head chef of Made By Bob - Bob Parkinson.

“We have some amazing independent restaurants around here, Purslane and The White Spoon in Cheltenham for example,” he said.

“We are flattered to be included at Bib Gourmand level as we currently do not open in the evening.

"Thanks goes to my great kitchen and front of house team as well as all of the diners that join us every day for breakfast, lunch and now afternoon tea.”

The Michelin Guide is published French tyre company Michelin, who have produced an annual guide to UK restaurants for over 100 years.

There are still spaces available for the Made By Bob steak on Friday, October 26, and French Night on November 23.

Proceeds from the evenings will go to Linc, The Leukemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund, a charity close to Chef Bob and his wife Ali’s hearts.

Donations will also be taken on the evenings.
