FIREFIGHTERS worked through the night to tackle a blaze that tore through a barn at a farm in Badminton.
Crews were called to Rushmoor Dairy Farm, on Old Down Road, just after 7pm yesterday (Saturday) following reports of a fire.
The roof of the barn was found to be made of asbestos and a hazardous materials officer attended the incident to assess the situation.
Continuous checks were made on the wind direction after concerns that nearby homes could be affected.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset said the wind direction was favourable, and any particles were contained within the farm grounds.
