TWO 16-year old Farmor's students are raising funds to help them carry out voluntary work in Kenya next summer, Chris Roberts writes.

Aiyanna Bodsworth and Sophia Walter need to raise £3,600 each to fund their four week trip to Kenya with Camps International.

The Fairford pupils will help to build new classrooms, install fresh water tanks and dig elephant watering holes in rural Kenyan communities.

They have already received £500 each from Fairford Town Council when they were awarded the Geoff Chick Award at the Annual Town Meeting in May.

Now they are organising a bingo night to raise money on Saturday, October 13 at Fairford Town Football Club.

Tickets can be purchased on the night when Spikes Diner and bar will be open for food and drinks.

Prizes to be won include a framed and signed Gloucester rugby shirt; hampers, a brand new swimming pool, coffee machine and vouchers. 7.30-10pm.
