Sir

I HAVE never been too clear about what qualifies John Light to comment about matters of state in your columns.

However I do think you should make sure he gets his facts right when he has a dig at the Royal Family.

He advises Theresa May to, "Remember the dignity of your own position and your standing as head of state."

The Queen is the Head of State and, should he succeed her, Prince William will be Head of State.

No here today, gone tomorrow prime minister has that role.
