FORTY years of publishing history in Hereford comes to a close this week.

Thursday's issue of the Hereford Admag (September 27) is the last that will be published.

While it is a sad occasion, it is also testament to the strength of the Admag's stablemate, the Hereford Times, whose popularity with readers and advertisers continues to grow.

So it is with mixed feelings that we say farewell to a much-loved name, while welcoming its supporters to a new home in print and online at the Hereford Times.

When it was launched as an independent newspaper in 1978 print was overwhelming the most effective medium for local advertising.

The Admag’s formula of page after page of small ads combined with a free-delivery model made it wildly popular with readers and businesses in its early days.

But the digital revolution has transformed the newspaper industry, particularly over the last decade.

The much-bigger Hereford Times with its expert team of journalists and digital marketers has adapted well to change.

As well as offering firms access to the leading print advertising platform in Herefordshire, it boasts a comprehensive range of digital marketing services for businesses of all sizes.

Cutting-edge technology means they can now see exactly how many potential customers are seeing their advertising, and masses of other details that help them get even more value for each marketing pound they spend.

And so the Admag, with its reliance on print, has reached the end of its life.

If you are an existing Admag customer please call Duncan Hardman on 01432 845850, who will help you develop a new, more effective marketing strategy through the Hereford Times’s print and online options.

Thank you so much, all those wonderful businesses and readers who have supported the Admag over the last four decades.

It has been a pleasure to be of service.

Now please join us at the Hereford Times in a relationship that stands to be even more fruitful in the years ahead!
