A POPULAR Cirencester charity is planning a major fundraising event for October that they hope will encourage thousands to take part.

The Churn Coffee Cascade will launch at The Churn Project on The Waterloo, Cirencester, on October 1.

It will start with the charity’s trustees and friends attending the launch coffee and cake event, and making a £3 donation.

Each trustee will then commit to holding their own coffee and cake event where their guests will make a £3 donation and too commit to holding their own event, and so on.

It is hoped that, if the cascade of people taking part can be maintained throughout October, the charity could raise thousands to continue its work in the community.

With the future of the charity uncertain in terms of funding, The Churn Coffee Cascade will play a major part in generating vital funds to maintain and hopefully extend its reach.
