PREPARATIONS are underway ahead of the Cirencester Male Voice Choir's 10th year anniversary in 2019.

The popular Cirencester choir, led by Musical Director Jules Addison and accompanist Lorraine Wild, will spend the autumn term getting performance-ready for two recording sessions to produce CDs to mark next year's anniversary.

The choir, which has just returned after a summer break, recently enjoyed a highly successful tour to Cornwall, including singing at The Eden Project, and closer to home performed at the Phoenix Festival.

The first concert of the autumn is at Cirencester Parish Church on October 6 where a Concert of Many Voices will celebrate the human voice when the CMVC will be joined by the Cirencester Singers and The Blue Notes.

It will be an evening of song to suit most musical tastes.

Tickets available from Cirencester Tourist Information Centre or from www.cirencestermvc.co.uk.

Later in the year there will be a Christmas Concert at Cirencester Baptist Church with guests the Corinium Singers and Cirencester Community Choir.

Kingsmeadow Tesco will once again be the venue for Christmas Music raising funds for local charity.

There is also the annual fundraising golf day at Cirencester Golf Club on October 5 at 9am. If you are interested in entering a team contact golf@cirencestermvc.co.uk
