JAW-DROPPING displays, emergency reenactments and fun family attractions are just a few of the things that visitors enjoyed at last Sunday's Emergency Services Show, which is held near Cirencester.

The event, which took place at the Cotswold Airport near Malmesbury was a fundraising extravaganza put on by the region's hard working emergency services personnel.

Organised by a team of volunteers, drawn from regional ambulance, police and fire and rescue services, thousands of people enjoyed the fantastic family fun day out, which also raised vital funds for charity.

Since the first event was held in 2005 more than £150,000 has been donated to groups that support the work of the emergency services.

Amongst the attractions that astounded spectators enjoyed this year were police dog displays, a multi-agency road traffic collision simulation, a wide range of new and vintage emergency vehicles, and – for the first time – the Rockets Children’s Motorcycle Display Team.
