A TEAM of handy volunteers will return to the Cirencester Repair Cafe this weekend ready to fix a variety of items that need mending.

The volunteers, who have expertise in electronics, sewing and more, will be on hand at the Repair Cafe on Saturday, September 22 from 10.30am-1pm.

The Café, held at 12 Ashcroft Road in Cirencester, is open to for locals who have anything that needs mending. Using the Cafe helps to save items from going into the bin, and save money.

If your vacuum isn’t cleaning, your shredder is shredded or your cardigan has more holes than buttons, then the skillful repair team may be able to help you out.

Repairs are free but donations are welcome. If you have a skill you may be able to offer, then the volunteers would also welcome you joining them.

Cirencester Repair Café is affiliated with the Cirencester branch of environmental charity, Friends of the Earth and Gloucestershire sustainability charity, Vision 21.

It was set up in November 2017, and was originally supported by the Cheltenham Repair Café who lent equipment and sent volunteers.
