Planned roadworks in the South West: weekly summary for Monday 17 September to Sunday 23 September 2018.
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Bristol
M49 Avonmouth: new junction scheme
Narrow lanes in place until June 2019.
M4 junction 18 to 17: resurfacing
Eastbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 17 nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 17 to 19 September.
Exit slip road will be closed overnight from 9pm on 20 September to 6am on 21 September.
Entry slip road will be closed overnight from 10pm on 21 September to 6am on 22 September. Diversion will be clearly signed.
M5 junction 17 to 18: Driver information scheme
Narrow lanes with 50mph speed limit will be in place until July 2019. One lane northbound will be closed.
M48 Severn Bridge: survey work
Westbound carriageway will be closed from Junction 21 to junction 1 overnight from 8pm on 19 September to 6am on 20 September. Diversion via M4 Prince of Wales Bridge will be in place.
Devon
A38 Deep Lane to Marsh Mills, Plymouth: drainage work
Lane closures and a 50 mph speed limit will be in place until October 2018.
A30 Whiddon Down to Tongue End junction, Okehampton: survey work
Westbound carriageway will be closed overnight, from 8pm on 17 September to 6am on 18 September. Diversion will be clearly signed.
Cornwall
A30 Loggans Moor to Treswithian, west of Redruth: filter drains
Westbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 17 September to 24 September Diversion will be clearly signed
A38 Saltash Tunnel, west of Plymouth: maintenance
Eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 8pm on 20 September to 6am on 21 September. Diversion will be clearly signed
Somerset
M5 junction 21 - 22: resurfacing
Southbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am (9pm Weds) from 17 September to 19 September. Clearly signed diversion will be in place.
M5 junction 25 - 26: resurfacing
Southbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am (9pm Weds) from 17 September to 19 September. Carriageway between the slip roads will be closed overnight from 8pm on 20 September to 8am on 21 September. Clearly signed diversion will be in place.
A303 Mere to Zeals: resurfacing
Westbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, on 17 and 18 September. Clearly signed diversion will be in place.
South Gloucestershire
A46 Dyrham Park: resurfacing
Carriageway between M4 and Cold Ashton will be closed in both directions nightly, 9pm to 6am, from 19 to 21 September. Clearly signed diversion will be in place.
M5 junction 13 to 14: footbridge removal
Northbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, on 17 and 18 September. Southbound carriageway will be closed nightly, 8pm to 6am, from 19 and 21 September. Clearly signed diversion will be in place.
