LUKE MCCORMICK: Left exposed by those in front of him and could not really be faulted for Bury’s goals. 6.5

JAMES DUNNE: Took the brunt of the crowd’s displeasure at Town’s overall woes at times, but hardly helped himself. Often a rabbit in the headlights in defence and wasteful with possession too. Booked. 4.5

SID NELSON: Lost a foot race with Moore in the lead-up to the opener and his youth showed against the wily Dagnall, Mayor and Moore. 5

LUKE WOOLFENDEN: His first goal for the club briefly flickered the home side into life but he struggled against Bury’s livewire attack. 5

MATT TAYLOR: The opening goal came down his flank and while he tried to get things moving forward, little came off. 5.5

JERMAINE MCGLASHAN: Plenty of huff and puff but largely ineffectual in attack and didn’t cause the Shakers enough problems. 5

STEVEN ALZATE: Clearly has ability but looked lightweight against an often rampaging Bury midfield and the game largely passed him by. 5

JAK MCCOURT: Overshadowed by his counterparts in the Shakers’ midfield and struggled to make any impression on the game before being subbed. 4.5

ELLIS IANDOLO: Paid the price for the first-half ills of the team as a whole when hooked for Diagouraga on the half-hour. 4.5

MARC RICHARDS: Had one decent chance to get a shot away in the first half, but largely anonymous otherwise. 4.5

ELIJAH ADEBAYO: Always willing and the usual outlet for a struggling team behind him, but he was all arms and legs without ever really troubling the visitors’ defence. 5

SUBSTITUTES

Toumani Diagouraga (for Iandolo 31): His introduction didn’t really have the desired effect on Town in midfield. Booked. 5

Keshi Anderson (for Dunne 61): One shot at goal – only one fewer than the whole team managed in 97-plus minutes but he was unable to spark anything from a lacklustre home side. 5.5

Joe Romanski (for McCourt 74): It seemed a slightly strange move to bring him on at the point he arrived and what he had to do he did perfectly well. 5.5

Subs not used: Lawrence Vigouroux, Martin Smith, Scott Twine, Jordan Edwards.
