LAST TOWN MATCH: 1-0 Bury win - Feb 2017

ONE TO WATCH - DANNY MAYOR

MIDFIELDER Danny Mayor was the catalyst behind Bury’s biggest win of the season last weekend, netting a goal in each half as they thumped Grimsby Town 4-0 at home.

The Shakers are enjoying something of a hot streak in front of goal at present as, although they lost 2-1 at Rochdale in the Checkatrade Trophy in midweek, Bury have scored nine times in their last three League Two games.

Mayor has got a third of those, breaking his duck for the campaign in the 3-2 defeat at Crawley Town a fortnight ago to go alongside his brace against Grimsby.

Mayor is at the start of his sixth season with the Shakers, the first of those being on loan from Sheffield Wednesday in the 2013-14 campaign, and has racked up more than 150 appearances in that time.

KEY BATTLE - ELIJAH ADEBAYO v ADAM THOMPSON

ON-LOAN striker Elijah Adebayo has been the man to make the difference for Swindon Town in recent weeks, getting their only goal in each of the last two League Two games for Phil Brown’s side.

His late leveller rescued a point at home to Milton Keynes Dons a fortnight ago before settling last weekend’s trip to Morecambe with a cool first-half finish.

Bury boss Ryan Lowe could field a three-man back-line for their trip to Wiltshire, with Adam Thompson likely to be at the heart of it.

The 25-year-old has started all nine of the Shakers’ matches this season, although last weekend’s 4-0 defeat of Grimsby Town was only the second in which they have kept a clean sheet.
