A New extension of the Athelstan Museum is to open to the public for the first time this weekend since its conversion.

The old Moravian church, now the Julia and Hans Rausing Building will be open on Sunday, September 16, between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

It will open as part of National Heritage Week, allowing residents to see the work on the conversion project as it nears its conclusion.

The old and derelict Moravian church in Oxford Street is currently being converted into an extension of the Athelstan Museum.

Almost 300 visitors attended last year as part of National Heritage Week and they are hoping for the same numbers again to see the latest transformation.
