MALMESBURY Scouts were the proud winners of a strategy camp defeating nearly 300 teams.

Held on Sunday, June 23, at Cirencester Park, they orientated over the 3000 acre site to complete 30 different challenges at bases set up around the estate. The team consisted of Jack Lippiatt, Hywel Farrow-Wilton, Adam Fahey, Daniel Sivil and Jude Garratt.

Event organiser, Lewis Dangerfield, said: "With these events, we aim to provide young people aged 10-25 a fun and challenging weekend, allowing them to learn and test new skills, while meet with their peers.

Lewis added: “Our aim has been to challenge teams of young people to compete against their peers using skills they have learnt in Scouting and Guiding.

"We are taking them out of their comfort zone, if they get lost or struggle along the way it’s good, as its one of the best ways to learn.

"I would also like to extend my thanks to Earl Bathurst and our other supporters, including Severn Trent Water."
