Our man Ross Arnott delivers his man-for-man marking.

Pickford - 6

Assured for most of the game. Needs a test, will probably come against Belgium. Disappointed to concede.

Trippier - 8

Very confident, fantastic passing into the final third. Delivery from set plays superb. Real asset.

Walker - 7

Looked a lot more comfortable than previous games in this position. Solid on the ball.

Stones - 9

Fantastic performance. Brilliant at set plays, superb passing through the lines. Two really well taken goals. Fantastic performance.

Maguire - 6

Good on the ball as expected, needs to maintain focus all game.

Young - 7

Untested defensively which is still worrying, but going forward is composed in possession.

Henderson - 8

Another really good game, brilliant forward passing. Made the centre midfield position his own.

Loftus - Cheek - 7

Really encouraging full debut in the tournament. He will be very important at breaking teams down for England.

Lingard - 8

Fantastic goal, makes the runs of a forward from midfield. Vital for the way England play.

Sterling - 6

A difficult game for the Manchester City man. Found himself in good positions, could have scored a goal on another day. Didn’t get bullied by the physicality of the Panama Players.

Kane - 9

Captain Fantastic. Another three goals and he is now the top scorer at the tournament, 1 above Ronaldo who is on 4. Is good enough to make a difference in any game.

Subs

Vardy - 6

Didn’t get involved too much after coming on.

Delph - 6

Another player who didn’t get the opportunity to get involved as much as he would have wanted.

Rose - 6

Solid, good to have a strong back up at in the left back position. May be more solid than Young against the better teams.
