THE BIGGEST Stinchcombe Festival took place last Saturday in what was a fabulous community event.

Around 400 people attended the festival which saw a medieval battle reenactment and three bands, Big Sky, Revolvers and Thrill Collins.

Ken Eales, one of the event organisers, said: "This year was our biggest and best festival weekend yet and hundreds of people turned up to enjoy the sunshine.

"A huge thank you to our team of volunteers for putting on a fabulous event which looks to have raised thousands of pounds to improve community facilities."

In addition, there was a hot roast and food available all day, with a gin bar along with performances from the Wotton Silver Band and soloists Elizabeth Irvine and Annie Martin on the Sunday.

The festival ran from 1pm to 11pm at the rugby club ground in Dursley.
