OVER 150 boys and girls from Tetbury and the surrounding area enjoyed the annual Tetbury Town Football Club sponsored Fun Run on Saturday morning, raising money for their end of season trophies and awards ceremony.

Children aged 3 to 11 years old, ran laps around the recreation ground in Tetbury, stopping approximately every 50 metres to complete a football related obstacle or activity.

These included jumping over hay bales, running over agility ladders, wheelbarrow races and lots of football skills related challenges.

Some of the flourishing footballers completed over 20 laps during the 90-minute event.

Richard Norris, Chairman of Tetbury Town Football Club said that it was amazing to see so many happy youngsters joining in with the event.

"It was amazing to see so many young children participating and having fun.

"Local residents often compliment us and tell us how nice it is to see so many happy children dressed in bright orange enjoying exercise on Saturday mornings.

"The club now has 3 adult teams and 10 junior teams and the money we raise from the annual fun run helps towards buying end of season trophies for our younger players".
