COTSWOLD Artisan Coffee in Cirencester are going green by moving to 100% recyclable take-away cups and loose organic milk.

Located on Bishop's Walk, the shop are working with family owned Woefuldane Organic Dairy in Minchinhampton, trialling their supply of milk in reusable containers.

Cotswold Artisan Coffee Manager Barry Cook said: “By no longer using standard one-use-only plastic milk bottles, we have massively reduced our waste output

“We want to make sure that we are doing the best we can for the environment, and help our customers do the same in a proactive encouraging manner as opposed to the unenforceable latte levy proposed at central government level

“We have been offering our customers reusable cups from KeepCup for several years, but wanted to make sure customers who don’t find these practical at least have a better option with their single-use disposable cups.

“And for those reusing their own take-away cup we are offering 5% discount on any hot drink to pass on the saving in not using a single-use cup.

"We hope that this may encourage other coffee shops to follow our lead.”

You can visit the coffee shop at 5 Bishop’s Walk between 8am and 3.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
