THE ENVIRONMENT Agency has advised residents and businesses near the Bristol Avon river from Malmesbury to Chippenham to take immediate action as flooding is expected.
Cirencester residents reported flooding yesterday as the Environment Agency issued flood warnings between Malmesbury and Chippenham.
Rivers have burst their banks and drains struggled to cope with the influx of water after heavy rains hit the region over the weekend.
South Way in Cirencester was flooded from early yesterday morning, according to a tweet sent to the paper by Chefy Kaz.
