THE shop and Post Office in Newtown, Sharpness will be closed for 19 days next month while it is re-fitted.
From 5.30pm on Wednesday, April 4 until 9am on Monday, April 23 The Village Store and Newtown Post Office will be completely closed to customers.
It is being fully refurbished and an on old-style full-screened counter is being replaced by an open-plan counter alongside the retail counter.
Improvements to the store have been supported by a grant from the Post Office Community Fund.
The nearest alternative branches are in Salter Street, Berkeley and at Beehive House in Slimbridge.
