A 39-YEAR-OLD woman from Leonard Stanley has been killed in a crash on the A417.
The woman died at the scene after colliding with a Nissan Qashqai while driving her Peugeot 206 at Crickley Hill, Witcombe, shortly before 2.55pm.
Her next of kin has been informed.
The driver of the Nissan, a man, was treated by ambulance crews at the scene but no details of his injuries are available.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw either of the vehicles before the crash happened.
Anyone with information who has not already spoken to police is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.police.uk quoting incident 240 of February 28.
Update: The A417 Brockworth to Air Balloon Hill road, which was closed after the accident, is now open.
Traffic will be diverted over the A46 junction for a short time, and the closure at the air balloon has been lifted completely.
The gritter is about to grit the road.
