POLICE are investigating an armed robbery at a Cotswold shop last night. 

Three men threatened staff from the Cotswold Stores in the Market Place, Northleach, with a pick axe and other weapons before making off with the cash from the till. 

The men had entered the story shortly before 8pm.

Police were called to the stores at 8.05pm. 

The robbers, all described as wearing dark clothing and face coverings, left the shop and are believed to have made off in a car.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who was in Market Place, Northleach, earlier in the evening and either saw the offenders or an unfamiliar vehicle arrive in or leave the area.
