BRISTOL City have completed the loan signing of Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent.

The 21-year-old winger joins City's Sky Bet Championship BRchallenge for the remainder of the season.

Former England youth international Kent is available to make his debut against Norwich City on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

The winger becomes City's second signing this month, after Liam Walsh's permanent move from Everton was confirmed last Friday.

Head coach Lee Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: “I’m delighted to bring in a player of Ryan Kent’s quality.

"He did very well at Barnsley last year and he’ll bring genuine speed, athleticism and ball control to our squad.

“We thank Liverpool for entrusting us with another top player’s development and I’m looking forward to welcoming him into the group.”

Oldham-born Kent is a product of Liverpool’s Academy setup.

He spent four months on loan at Coventry City, before joining Barnsley on loan for the entire 2016/17 campaign where he won the Tykes' Young Player of the Year award.

He went on to make six appearances for SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga this season before his recent return to parent club Liverpool.

Kent has been handed squad number 40.
