Sarah lands her ‘dream job’ – helping others find their dream home
SARAH Whittingham has landed her dream job – helping house-hunters in the East Cotswolds and West Oxfordshire find their dream home.
Sarah, who grew up in Oxfordshire, spent her working career in banking and finance, before the desire to start a family led to a ten—year career break and a move from The City back to the Cotswolds.
She loves gardens and homes improvements, so eagerly took the chance to return to work earlier this year by showing house-hunters around properties for estate agent Moore Allen & Innocent, which has offices in Cirencester, Lechlade and Tetbury.
And that casual position has now led to part-time employment as a sales negotiator based at Lechlade, near the home she shares with husband Simon, who works for the injured servicemen’s rehabilitation charity Mission Motorsport, children George and Poppy, who are at Lechlade School, and Winnie, a 14-year-old chocolate labrador.
Local properties currently include The Walled Garden at Filkins, an individually-designed late 20th century detached five-bedroom house in a walled garden, on the market at £965,000, and Foxleigh House, a five-bedroom detached property backing on to Lechalde Marina at £650,000.
“I love living in the Cotswolds – a fantastic area – and really enjoy home improvements: we’ve now done up four or five properties before moving on,” said Sarah.
“This is a dream job for me.”
