ONCE again the brilliant job the volunteers at Malmesbury Foodbank are doing has been highlighted as we hear of families struggle to cope.
It was only a few months ago, in May, that they were praised after new figures revealed twice as many people are now using the service compared to last year.
Now, during the summer holidays, their vital work is back in the spotlight.
The foodbank is helping parents and families who rely on free school meals during term time.
Many families are under serious financial pressure and it is a problem that often goes unnoticed for many reasons.
But the foodbank is there for those who need it and the charity is encouraging more people to get in touch this summer.
It is also important to highlight our duty to help the foodbank and praise those who continue to donate.
The Co-op and Waitrose have both recently given large donations of stock to the foodbank thanks to the generosity of shoppers in those supermarkets.
