ENTRIES have opened for this year’s Malmesbury in Bloom gardening and children’s painting and photography competitions, which are both sponsored by the Standard.
There are six categories up for awards in the gardening competition, these are: Window Boxes/Hanging Baskets and Containers, Courtyard/Patio/Small Garden, Large Garden, Street/Road, Commercial Premises (including pubs, hotels and restaurants, and finally Wild Flower Area.
Budding entrants have until Friday, July 21 to register ahead of judging which takes place on Tuesday, July 25.
The entry classes for the children’s painting and photography competition are: A – under 4s, B – up to six-years-old, C – seven to 11-years-old and D – 12-16-years-old.
To enter, submit a photograph or painting, with a maximum size of A4, to the Town Hall by Friday, July 28.
After judging, all artwork submitted will be exhibited in Malmesbury Library throughout August and September.
