CIRENCESTER head pro Ed Goodwin bagged third prize as the inaugural Total Triumph Gloucestershire & Somerset PGA Summer Series got underway in unseasonal conditions at Brean on Wednesday.
Steady rain fell throughout the day making the trip around the Somerset course quite unpleasant for the competitors.
Birdies were a rare commodity and the winning score of Winter Order of Merit champion Giuseppe Licata (Chipping Sodbury) and InPlay Golf’s Paul Barrington beat the par 69 by only a single stroke.
Goodwin shot a two-over-par 71.
