JOHN LOWE, a seven handicapper from Broome Manor GC in Swindon, birdied the last three holes to snatch victory in the Cirencester Seniors Open with a score of 38 points.
Two home members, Keith Miller, who took the Over 75 prize, and Stuart Michaelis finished high on the leaderboard in the 140-strong field on a very wet day.
Overall winner: John Lowe (Broome Manor) 38pts.
Division One – 1st Michael Davies (Henbury) 38pts; 2nd Keith Miller (37); 3rd Roger Davies (Henbury) 37; 4th Stuart Russell (Cotswold Hills) 36.
Division Two – 1st Gordon Geddes (Wrag Barn) 38pts; 2nd Stuart Michaelis (37); 3rd Stuart Green (Shrivenham) 37; 4th: Stephen Gray (Feldon Valley) 36.
The event raised more than £650 for Greenwood's Therapeutic Horticulture, a locally-based charity.
