A CHARITY fundraising ball is to be held at Cirencester Parish Church on Friday, March 31 from 7.30pm.

The black-tie do, which aims to raise funds for this year’s Cirencester Relay For Life, which in turn aims to raise thousands for Cancer Research UK, includes a two-course meal and live music.

Tickets are £60 each or £480 for a table, and are available from Envisage Beauty, Envi or The Wheatsheaf.

Email event chair Sharon Scrivens at sharonscrivs@outlook.com or Gary Hammond at gary.hammond@sky.com for more information.

Cirencester Relay For Life is to be held at South Cerney Airfield on Saturday, July 29, with organiser Sharon hoping the event will raise more than £100,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Having lost her son Ashley Scrivens in 2014 to melanoma and her father Alan Carpenter to leukaemia in 2000, Sharon, 54, has dedicated herself to helping raise funds to beat the disease.
