A DONATION of £1,000 has been made by a Malmesbury-based developer to help build vital accommodation close to a children’s hospital, so parents and carers to be at their child’s bedside within minutes.
Persimmon Homes Wessex has donated the cash to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity as part of its Community Champions initiative.
Since its launch in March 2015, Persimmon has donated more than £1m to charitable causes across the UK.
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, added: “The work that Great Ormond Street Hospital do is known around the world and there are many families in and around our area who have had to turn to them for care.
“To have a child receiving treatment at Great Ormond Street is a difficult and stressful situation and we hope our £1,000 donation helps ease the pressure off at least one family at a vulnerable time in their life.”
