FOLLOWING a competition to find a name for its new restaurant, Cotswold House Hotel has announced the winning entry – ‘Fig’.
The hotel recently underwent a significant £1 million restoration which included a full renovation of the newly named restaurant as well as the bistro and bedrooms.
After encouraging guests and Cotswold residents to come up with a name, Rod Larman, of Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire, was named as the winner.
Craig Webb, the general manager at Cotswold House said: “Rod’s suggestion instantly stood out to us due to the beautiful fig tree that is located outside the restaurant window.
“It feels like the perfect fit for the new restaurant and we’re looking forward to welcoming guests old and new to explore the new refurbishment.”
The hotel will re-open with an official launch event on October 6.
