A FAMILY furnishing company that has been trading for almost 90 years has expanded into Cirencester.

Winnens has set up shop in the Waterloo, next to the Wool Market, selling popular Karndean flooring.

The company, established in 1929, provides a one-stop shop for everything from furniture to flooring, with brands hand-picked by experts.

The Cirencester store, which opened on Saturday, will focus on selling flooring, but a smattering of furniture hints at what is on offer in their Cheltenham showroom in Neptune Business Centre, Tewkesbury Road.

The family outfit includes John Newell, with over 40 years of experience in the trade, Gina Gibbs, a trained interior designer with some 30 years in the trade, sales expert Talitha Ingram, pictured, and accountant Geoff Rigby

Talitha, who is John’s daughter, said: “Cirencester is a great town. It’s really up and coming and there’s a lot going on. We sent a representative out and he said it was the next best place to expand.”
