A SCHOOL in Lechlade was broken into over the weekend and money raised at a school fete was stolen.
Police are appealing for information after an office in St Lawrence Primary School was broken into and money raised at a fete on Friday was taken.
A spokesman for the school said: “We can confirm there has been a break-in at the school over the weekend and police are currently investigating. Proceeds from the school fete have been stolen and we are very disappointed.”
In response, staff of the town's Co-operative store on Station Road are hosting a Fun Day on July 4, with money raised to be gifted to the school.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 57 of June 27.
