STAFF and residents of a care home in Gloucestershire were delighted to sign a 90-inch birthday card for the Queen on Friday (May 27).
Trevone House in Gloucester, run by The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), welcomed a visit from the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) and the large birthday card, which is touring the country to collect well wishes and signatures in honour of Her Majesty’s official 90th birthday in June.
The card was designed locally by the Bigger Printing Company and the features artwork created by children at the Churchdown Village Junior School.
It will be displayed on the night of June 9, on the Queen’s official birthday weekend, at the Imjin Music Festival 2016 at Imjin Barracks, before being sent to Her Majesty.
Jane Lunn, support coordinator at OSJCT, said: “The residents of Trevone House were delighted the card could visit their home. They were very honoured to add a signature from Trevone House to wish Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 90th birthday.”
