WHO needs a defence when you have two prolific strikers? Both Nicky Ajose and Obika got on the scoresheet as Swindon came from behind to beat Crewe, writes Joe Selwood.
They do like to keep you on the edge of your seat that’s for sure.
The worrying ease in which Swindon can go from complete control to being so fragile means watching the Robins is never a pleasant experience.
One moment you’ve just watched some amazing football and then you see Jordan Turnbull half-heartedly head towards the ‘keeper in an error even a school boy would be embarrassed by.
The match started off with a great tempo from the Town, advancing and testing the Crewe goalkeeper. An minutes saw Town test the ‘keeper.
A few times Crewe threatened the goal and Swindon’s defence wobbled.
Vigouroux produced a few good saves and kept the Crewe attackers at bay. The comeback was complete when Kasim’s shot was pushed in to the path of Ajose who fired it in.
Another positive was the return of skipper Nathan Thompson who made a small cameo appearance.
Signing QPR’s Michael Doughty seems to suggest that Ben Gladwin will not be returning, but more signings are needed.
