JULIAN Bovis is an urban landscape artist. Working predominantly in pen and ink on paper, his large-format original pieces and limited-edition Gicleé prints illustrate the built environment in intricate detail.

Following his recent successful exhibition in London, Julian has created a bespoke collection exclusively for Prema, Uley, featuring some of Gloucestershire's most famous landmarks.

Julian explains: "Because the Cotswold Way runs for over 100 miles through some of England's most stunning countryside I was spoilt for choice when deciding which landscapes to draw. Some of the chosen subjects such a Sharpness Docks and Bath's Royal Crescent were obvious choices but many more were oblique; illustrating an undiscovered side to the Cotswold Way. Whether the landscapes are familiar to the viewer or not, each and every one captures the unique beauty of the local villages, towns and cities that surround Prema”.

Julian Bovis - The Cotswold Way Exhibition is on at Prema, Uley from September 27 to November 1 (10am to 4pm). Free entry.
