KEMPSFORD darts star Lee Evans continued his run of great form by sealing a place in the European Darts Grand Prix to be held in Germany over the weekend of October 16-18.
Evans started his run with a really solid win over Shaun Griffiths 6-2, but he saved his best to defeat former world championship runner-up Kevin Painter 6-4.
"I'm chuffed to have qualified and would like to thank my sponsors and all my friends for their continued support," said Evans.
Lee will be joined at the Sindelfingen Glaspalast arena near Stuttgart by Swindon stars Johnny Haines and Stephen Willard, both of whom showed great form to come through qualifying.
Most of the top names in the Professional Darts Corporation will be in the final field of 48 for the £115,000 event.
The final places will be taken by players coming through a European and Host Nation qualifier on the day before the event proper.
The tournament will be streamed live on the PDCTV website.
Lee hopes to take his good current form into the finals and is still getting all the practice he can.
This weekend he travels to Tyne and Wear to play for Wiltshire in a county match.
